One of the finest sets of painted chairs I have seen, featuring stenciled floral decoration in metallic hues on boldly striped yellow ground. Fabulous condition; sturdy with minor wear and no restoration. A coat of museum wax has been applied to minimize future wear from use. Pennsylvania, circa 1830.
